A bit about me:
With more than 10 years of experience in HR, I am an Associate Professor in Organizational Psychology, researcher and founder of @viadata, a people-analytics boutique consultancy.
I hold a PhD in HR Psychology and I combine teaching, research and consultancy to produce, share and implement knowledge in my field of interest. My primary focus is using data-driven evidence based strategies to create effective workplace interventions that enhance both employee wellbeing and organizational performance.
I am the founder of the boutique consultancy agency @viadata, and I am deeply interested in all aspects of human behaviour at work, and its interplay with organisational characteristics and dynamics. I use system thinking and data-driven methodology to diagnose, intervene and promote wellbeing at all levels in the organizations. I am also a curious researcher, leading and being engaged several national and international research projects.
I would love to engage with fellow researchers, practitioners, professionals, organizations, and basically anyone interested in Work and Organizational Psychology.

My (summarised) STORY 😀
I come from a very small village in the rural area of Romania! I grew up in nature, with stories and legends, and a strong sense of community. My family still lives there and I go every time I have the opportunity!
At 18, I moved to “the big city”, where I studied Business Adminstration, at the University of Bucharest, and later on, Psychology and Sociology, my true passions! I combined my studies with part-time jobs as receptionist and waitress. These years were filled with growth, independence, and learning.
In 2008, I joint a “Youth in action” project in Lisbon. It was my first experience abroad and I just loved it! Because of the people I was meeting, the city I was living in and the type of work we were carrying out. It sparked my interest in European-funded projects, which led me to Spain, where I worked for “Europa Direct Information Center”. Inspired by my Lisbon experience, I co-founded “Salutare,” a Romanian youth association with a strong local impact.
To continue my professional development, I moved to Valencia for the “WOPP Erasmus Mundus Master”, earning prestigious scholarships, including the “Erasmus Mundus Joint Doble Degree Scholarship” and serving as Course Representative EMA (link). his was a life-changing period, filled with international experiences, academic challenges, and professional growth.
In 2014 I began my PhD at “IDOCAL”, research centre of excellence, under the supervision of Vicente Martinez Tur. I was the beneficiary of a competitive scholarship, and my PhD thesis focused on hapiness at workplace and its impact on individual wellbeing, organizational culture and prosocial behavior. I specialised in quantitative and qualitative methods, and I have participated in national and european research projects. I was also an invited researcher at Maastricht University (link). I defended my PhD in 2019 with Cum Laude and an Excellence Mention, followed by a postdoc on an international interdisciplinary project.
During these years, I actively engaged with global associations, serving as the Administrative Secretary of EAWOP and holding leadership roles at IAAP, including Division 15 President and Secretary General. I represented IAAP at international events, including the UN CSW in New York.
In 2020 after the COVID19 lockdown, I decided to move to Barcelona. Another “best decision” of my life. After living in 10 cities across 5 countries, I finally settled down. Now, I’m an associate professor at ESIC Business and Marketing School, working on national and international research projects and building my consultancy business. I’ve published over 30 scientific papers, participated in 60+ conferences, and contributed to organizing global academic events.
I am passionate about human behaviour and human mind. I am an avid reader on the topic and recently got interested in system thinking, which I recently embraced as a core framework in my work. Curious and always eager to learn, I love sports, nature, and a great coffee!
